Founded at the end of the 19th century, the Martrenchard vineyards perpetuate an image of quality and tradition। Today, the great-grandson, Jean-Pierre Martrenchard combines the skills built up over four generations and the latest in wine-making techniques to offer a full range of quality wines. Made with the noblest varieties on a terroir which provides ideal exposure to the sun, the wines fully deserve their high standing, whether it be the dry or sweet whites, the rosés or the reds. The many medals and awards which have been won bear testimony to all the efforts made over the decades. Just taste the remarkable Côtes-de-Bergerac red Cuvée Réservée with its deep, intense colour, full body and characteristic nose of over-ripe fruit, spices and humus. It is strong on local character, complex and fleshy, excellent in the mouth and good for laying down.
