A family winegrowing of father as son since 1692, 25 ha, composed of stony grounds argilo-limestones. It is Denis Alary today who manages this human-sized domain, whose vine grower spirit was always the base. The property is entirely on the commune of Cairanne, with 3 different soils which allow a subtlety in the assemblies according to the vintages. The wines are matured in the respect of the soil and the environment with cultivation methods very appropriate to nature, in organic conversion since 2009. Manual, tri grape harvest of the vintage to the vine and the cellar, de-stemming, punching of the cap. Maturing a part out of tanks and a part in the lightnings and half-muits… Excellent red Cairanne Font d' Estevenas 2009, with the aromas of violet and liquorice, with tannins present and silky at the same time, a firm and generous wine. La Brunote, of structured mouth, a beautiful harmony, is a wine with the spice aromas and black fruits, quite well-balanced. White Cairanne Font d' Estevenas 2009, which has this complex nose where prevail the currants and the humus, a firm and fruity wine like their Cairanne CDR-Villages the Jean de Verde 2007, of a beautiful garnet-red crimson, rich and scented color, with macerated and humus, the discrete harmonious fruit connotations, quite robust, of excellent guard. There is also the CDR white Chèvre d' Or 2009, where intermingle with the notes of almond, peach and heather, really successful and attractive.

At the top of the First Classified Great wines. In the middle of XVIIIe century, Mont-Redon was acquired by noble: Joseph Ignace d' Astier, lawyer Doctor of Laws in Avignon. Then Mont-Redon passed to the hands of the Mathieu. Anselme Mathieu said Marquis of Mont-Redon and exploited this winegrowing with her brothers with the death of his father. A catastrophe touched then the family and it was the division of the properties. In 1923, Mont-Redon is acquired by the Plantin family. Henri Plantin then applies to gather the whole of the grounds and to give to the winegrowing his current aspect: that of a property covering 162 ha, including 100 planted in vines (plate of rollers argilo-limestone). The castle Mont-Redon property of family since four generations, with its omnipresent vineyard since centuries, aligns its references of race and traditions. You can only be seduced by uncorking this Châteauneuf-du-Pape on 2009, Stemming mainly from Grenache (60%), of Syrah (30%) and Mourvèdre (8%, the rest in Counoise, Muscardin, Vaccarèse and Cinsault), which associate aromatic concentration, smoothness of tannins and powerfull, with aromas of ripe fruits, powerful mouth, for again, of course. 2008 is all in elegance, with the complex nose with notes of flowers and plum, elegant, fullbodied but supple, of quite harmonious mouth, with the aromas of cooked fruits red and spices, of a beautiful fullness finally. “The 2008 are one vintage which brings back to us to more mineral florality and tastes, Jean Abeille specifies us. The yields were very weak following demanding sorting, the learnedly proportioned maturing of new wood what made it possible to preserve all the fruity one. This 2008 are very tempting, fond of delicacies, tasty and one can taste it as of now. To continue our qualitative politics with the castle Mont Redon, we put ourselves at the European standards on all levels, optimized the reception of the grape harvest and enlarged the fermenting room of wine making to be able to make the best selections. We always knew to be precursory and to use the best tool with the service of quality, we moreover acquired tables of optical sorting. In a context of crisis, our situation is rather comfortable, our wines of an excellent quality-price ratio do not suffer too much and we opened other outlets abroad which compensate for certain losses. At the national level, our sales are maintained for all our appellations. It is a recognition of our know-how, quality of our wines which touches us much.” The 2007 are a great vintage, at the same time rich and powerful, elegant while being structured, of a beautiful aromatic complexity to the notes of toasted, of roasted, a wine which has temperament! The 2006 are a wine of a great balance which associates freshness and fruit, silky tannins adequate with the potential of ageing. Remarkable Châteauneuf white 2009, of a color to the green reflections, the very aromatic nose marked by fruit aromas with white flesh, a great wine charmer, unctuous with much of freshness and promptness in mouth, fleshy, with notes of citrus fruits and lily, really exceptional. Beautiful Lirac Mont-Redon white 2009, quite fruity, with the intense and subtle nose at the same time with prevailing of pear and almond, of a beautiful persistence. Lirac red 2009, of color deep ruby, which develops a powerful nose prevailed by the cooked redfruits, quite robust, a wine rich with the nose as in mouth, than it is necessary to appreciate on game animals. Côtes-de -ProvenceChâteau Riotor rosy 2010, coming from their other family winegrowing, a wine of beautiful color, at the same time supple and fond of delicacies, with this persistent spiced touch, of a beautiful aromatic smoothness, a beautiful balance, and the Marc of Châteauneuf-du-Pape white, a treat, with drinking fresh into digestive.

Always at the top of First Great wines classified. The vineyard of Côte-Rôtie extends on approximately 200 ha from vineyards in steps on slopes from 40%, and divided between: Côtebrune (clay soil of darker color) giving very firm red wines of slow evolution and great longevity (Vaillères, Côte Rosier, Turque, Pommière, Chevalière, Côte Boudin); Côte blonde (lighter ground) giving more supple wines (Mouline, Châtillonne, Grande Plantée, Grands Cols). This winegrowing of 7 ha has this obvious force of the soil associated with a very great qualitative regularity and very measured prices when one has the problem to produce this kind of vintages. Côte-Rôtie as this one returns to a playground the “wines of garage” where their producers think that it is enough to concentrate excessively to mature a great wine, forgetting the force of the soil and the osmosis which is created between type of vines, the grounds and the hand of the man. Wine making: de-stalking, pressing of bays, fermenting 15 to 20 days, control temperatures, many reassemblies. All that explains this splendid Côte-Rôtie 2008 (97% Syrah and 3% Viognier), silver medal with the competition of the wines of Orange 2010, resulting from long fermenting then at least matured 15 month out of barrels of oak, complex with these nuances of kirsch and pepper, of garnet-red robe shining, very scented (ripe, humus…), with structured tannins, of a beautiful final in mouth, to which it is necessary to leave time to be expressed as well as possible. The 2007, silver medal with the Competition of the wines of Ampuis, fleshy and dense, with melted tannins, feels the morello cherry and prune, of beautiful steady robe, a wine for again. Beautiful 2004, with the dark robe, the nose prevailed by the black small fruits (blackcurrant) and truffle, of good base tannic, fleshy, with the connotations characteristic of spices and undergrowth to the palate, quite fullbodied.
