At the top. These likeable owners brood their small vineyard whose vines are 35 years old. The type of vines Merlot (65%), Cabernet franc (25%) and Cabernet-Sauvignon (10%) are associated with this soil argilo-limestone and meticulous care (stripping, grapes sorted before de-stalking, long macerations, maturing out of barrels, of which 1/3 is renewed each year…). One gives pleasure with their Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion2008, of robe garnet-red, rich, with the nose intense, complex, of a beautiful final where the ripe black cherry and the undergrowth prevail, wine of a flattering and rich mouth at the same time. “I find that the 2008 is one vintagecharmer, very pleasant to drink, we says Andrea Le Menn. Beautiful tannic presence which allows him a potential of guard. Nice very dark color, spiced notes, much of matter and complexity. 2007: wine charmer pleasant to taste before the 2008. On beef accompanied by boletus to the pronounced taste, I advise a wine more concentrated like the 2008, on a poultry, the 2007 will be more suitable. In this moment I regale myself with the 2002, a wine melted very charmer. Cuvée Moulin Saint Clair 2009 is a very nice wine with the very light timbered note (passage in some 2 year old barrels), just a small touch which is appropriate very well for the vintage. It is a wine with the superb potential.” All in mouth, indeed, the 2007 is a wine well-balanced and supple, with melted tannins, very pleasant with this nose of violet and ripe small fruits red, which associates distinction and richness, full and fleshy in mouth, it tastes itself already very well. Structure and roundness, characterize this excellent 2006, all in mouth, delicate and fleshy, a very scented wine (violet, black cherry) which continues its beautiful evolution. Beautiful 2005, where the spices and the blackcurrant intermingle harmoniously, a wine where the suppleness prevails, with these notes very characteristic of leather and slightly crystallized fruits finally, with rich tannins, robust, which continues its beautiful evolution. The 2004 very traditional, is coloured and fullbodied, with firm and silky tannins at the same time, of a nice concentration in mouth, with the notes of currant, humus and spices. “The 2006 and 2004, Yannick Menn continues, are Atlantic vintages with floral aromas, whereas 2005 and 2003 are of the wines of the southernmost type, with the black fruit aromas. In fact, the 2006 and 2004 are “female” wines more. They have each one their own characters but they resemble each other because the climatic conditions were similar, two vintages rather traditional of Bordelais which have a beautiful elegance and complexity. They “were framed” by very media vintages and it is damage, because I am sure, that, when these bottles are opened, in a few years, one will have much pleasure to taste them.” Taste their excellent second wine, the vintage Moulin Saint- Clair, regularly successful, with prevailing of roundness. Very beautiful quality-price-typicité ratio. | | | |

We really sought to obtain most beautiful maturity by pushing back the date of the grape harvest. To treat the vintage as well as possible, we used a table with tri optics, only the nicest grapes entered out of tanks. Our goal on the various properties is to obtain best possible quality, a beautiful expression of our soils. At the top, which comes to reward a formidable quality-price-pleasure ratio. “Under the impulse of my Vincent son, we slightly modified the way of maturing our wines. We privilege the fruit and reduce the new wood contribution. The wines are always matured a year out of barrels but with only new wood 25%, that makes it possible to avoid oxidation and a taste of wooded too which prevails. One obtains more velvety wines, fruitier, more attractive, with an aptitude to be aged but also ready to be appreciated in their youth. We remain reasonable in the maturing out of barrels which should not mask our nice low register and sand soil, it is thanks to that our wines are not too tannic.” One can only approve and give pleasure with this Saint-Émilion GC 2008 (6 ha, of a gravelo-sandy soil (83% of Merlot and 17% of Cabernet franc, gravelo-sandy soil), with full tannins, robust, a wine of beautiful structure, with the subtle and intense bouquet at the same time (morello cherry, currant, pepper…), all in persistence, of guard. Tasty 2007, with this powerful and delicate nose at the same time, a wine of a great harmony in mouth, with much of fruit, rich and delicate, typified well, of beautiful deep robe, with the persistent aromas of ripe red small fruits with spice notes. Very beautiful 2006, silver medals in Paris and of Bronze with Bourg, robe crimson, fullbodied, with the intense nose of ripe red small fruits and leather, with the nuances of blackcurrant and of roasted, with tannins of a great sweetness and a beautiful length in mouth. Superb 2005, of very dark color, with the nuances of morello cherry and raspberry, a wine with very well-balanced tannins, of full mouth, all in aromas, of beautiful guard. Tasty 2004, of very good structure, with the nose where intermingle with the red undergrowth and ripe fruit notes good, quite fullbodied, a wine which start to be appreciated, a beautiful length.
